This is a myth. The effectiveness of insulation is not measured solely by its thickness (which deals with conduction). R'BULL Pro 13 tackles radiation: its pure aluminium reflects 95% of infrared rays. Combined with unventilated air gaps, it offers formidable certified thermal resistance whilst preserving living space.
That’s correct, and that’s the point! Reflective insulation like R’BULL Pro 13 isn’t meant to replace these materials, but to complement them perfectly. Where glass wool slows down conduction, R’BULL reduces heat transfer by radiation. This is what we call hybrid insulation: the best protection for both winter and summer.
This is no longer true under the new standard. Many thin insulation products are still based on the old, obsolete standard (EN 16012). R'BULL Pro 13, however, has anticipated this and is already ISO 22097:2023 certified. This guarantees direct access to energy renovation grants (MaPrimeRénov’, MaPrimeAdapt’, Ma Prime Logement Décent) and Energy Saving Certificates (CEE).
There is no risk if installed correctly. R'BULL Pro is inherently a vapour barrier material, offering protection against the spread of fire and moisture. When correctly bonded with our pure aluminium tapes, it completely blocks water vapour transfer and provides long-lasting protection for the roof structure.
