R'BULL Efficacy Test
With a roof tile at 70 °C, adjust the air gap and the emissivity of the aluminium. The calculation is based on EN ISO 6946 (Annex B, downward heat flux) and the product’s declared thermal resistance.
Thermal resistance of the product alone: 0.2606 m²·K/W (KTU 025 SF/26 R report). Declared emissivity 0.05, measured at 0.043 by the LNE.
The gap between the hot tile and the insulation. Specified dimension: 20 mm. The strength of the tile increases with its thickness, but 20 mm is sufficient to achieve the bulk of the gain.
