R'BULL Pro 5 is designed to supplement your traditional insulation (glass wool, rock wool, wood fibre). Combined with fibrous insulation, it helps reach the thermal resistance levels targeted by RE 2020 and large-scale renovations (BAR-TH-175). It is built on R'BULL reflective technology.
- Unconverted loft spaces: as a supplement, add 5.89 m².K/W to reach the required 7 m².K/W.
- Roof slopes: supplement with 4.89 m².K/W to reach 6 m².K/W.
- Interior walls: add 2.59 m².K/W to reach 3.7 m².K/W.
- Ground floors: add 1.89 m².K/W to reach the required 3 m².K/W.

Assessment
European Technical Assessment issued for the BOLTHERM range of reflective insulation products, which includes the Ceilingo R'BULL Pro 5 (ref BOLTHERM 121P IGN), under EAD 040007-00-1201. It allows the Declaration of Performance and CE marking to be established for the products concerned.

The R'BULL Pro 5 acts on radiation, not just conduction. Its two pure aluminium faces reflect up to 95% of infrared radiation. Combined with two non-ventilated 30 mm air gaps, it provides R = 1.11 m²K/W according to EN ISO 22097:2023. It is designed as a supplement to a fibrous insulation material, never as a replacement. Schemes such as aid depending on your country may support this type of work.
R'BULL Pro 5 is classified B-s1,d0 (reaction to fire, EN 13501-1). This rating means no flame spread, very low smoke emission and no flaming droplets. It makes the product compatible with establishments open to the public. For the regulatory framework, see ADEME's position.
No. R'BULL Pro 5 supplements the insulation already in place. It addresses radiation for summer comfort while the wool addresses conduction in winter. Together they form an effective hybrid insulation system.
Installation is quick and dust-free. It reduces ceiling height by almost nothing. At 5 mm, the product provides a thermal barrier and a vapour barrier (Sd > 260 m, EN 12086).
